We are seeking a Community Producer to design and run creative programmes connecting diverse audiences with nature, landscape and place.
£30,000 per annum pro rata for 2 days pw.
This new role will build relationships with communities across Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset, particularly those currently underrepresented in environmental and outdoor activity, and develop creative opportunities that support curiosity, confidence, wellbeing and connection to the natural environment.
Working at the intersection of culture, nature, health and community engagement, the postholder will collaborate with artists, community organisations, schools, health partners and residents to co‑create activities that strengthen relationships with the nationally important and protected Mendip Hills and the natural landscapes on people’s doorsteps.
The Nature Connection Producer will be embedded within the Super Culture team and work closely with colleagues from the Mendip Hills National Landscape Team.
The role offers opportunities to contribute to wider Super Culture programme, festivals and partnerships while developing a distinctive programme of creative engagement focused on nature connectedness.
The programme will build on the legacy of the 2‑year Arts Council/DEFRA funded programme ‘Nature Calling’, and support people to connect to nature and progress from local, everyday experiences to deeper engagement with the landscape, heritage and communities of the Mendip Hills.
