About the Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will partner with Territory and Partner Account Managers to sell RUCKUS networking solutions through channel partners, focusing on technical and business solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Address technical and business challenges by identifying and positioning suitable RUCKUS solutions to meet customer needs; develop and execute territory account plans to drive strategic growth.
  • Engage directly with partners and end customers through technical demonstrations, proof‑of‑conceptions, enablement sessions, and workshops to ensure clear understanding of solution value.
  • Support the sales process by providing accurate kit lists and high‑level solution designs; act as a trusted technical advisor to differentiate RUCKUS within competitive landscapes.
  • Work closely with Territory and Partner Account Managers to drive revenue, support sales efforts, and contribute to quota attainment by aligning technical solutions with customer business objectives.

This position is remote, but it is expected to involve UK and Ireland travel—particularly in the North of England—around 50% of the time.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience working with IP/Wireless technologies.
  • Proficient understanding of pre‑sales engineering and sales processes, including critical account management.
  • Strong knowledge of 802.11 Wi‑Fi technology evolution (Wi‑Fi 5, 6, 7), RF antenna signal propagation, best‑practice design and assessments, WLAN security, predictive heat‑map creation, wireless troubleshooting and optimization, IP routing and switching (WAN/LAN design, setup, and configuration).
  • General knowledge of VLAN, security, VoIP, QoS wired/wireless, BYOD/MDM, PtP, mesh, wireless controller architectures, Wi‑Fi protocols and transmission, RF engineering, indoor and outdoor wireless deployments, packet capture/analysis tools, WLAN security RF polarization and antenna signal propagation behaviour.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills—verbal and written—able to capture relevant information and articulate findings to senior leadership.
  • Advanced understanding of partner business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of pre‑sales engineering, technical sales processes, and key account management.
  • Experience with the MEDDIC sales methodology and process.
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions, both written and verbal, to a variety of audiences, including executive‑level decision‑makers.
  • Advanced understanding of partner business drivers and how to map these to a customer network environment, including identifying areas for improvement in network design.
