We are seeking a full-time Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker. You will support aircraft maintenance by performing structural repairs and sheet metal work according to approved data. The role involves ensuring the safe and timely completion of tasks, accurate documentation, and assisting with general mechanic duties within a safety-focused environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft structural repairs in line with provided repair data.
- Install, repair, inspect, and replace sheet metal components.
- Ensure safe, on-time delivery of structural repairs.
- Maintain compliance with aviation safety guidelines and operate sheet metal tools safely.
- Complete repair documentation accurately and promptly.
- Assist with general mechanical duties when needed.
- Promote a 'Just' culture, adhere to health & safety policies, and report incidents.
- Document work carried out on aircraft in detail.
- Ensure calibration and safety of equipment and tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Essential:
- Completion of an Aeronautical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in aviation maintenance, including at least 12 months in the specific area.
- Thorough understanding of Part 145 and company MOE.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to undertake general aviation mechanic activities.
Desirable:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to understand work orders, work cards, and maintenance data.
- Skill in removing uninstalled or rejected parts.
- Knowledge of personnel authorisations and limitations.
- Understanding of safety management systems and 'Just' culture.
