As an Aircraft Detailer at Vista Aircraft Maintenance Farnborough (VAMF), you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of aircraft presentation. This position is responsible for delivering thorough and professional detailing services that enhance both the aesthetic and operational performance of aircraft. Your work will directly contribute to passenger satisfaction and aircraft efficiency.
You will be expected to work with precision, follow safety protocols, and uphold company standards while using specialised equipment and techniques.
Responsibilities:- Provide a thorough, efficient and professional detailing service, including but not limited to light aircraft interior cleaning, deep aircraft interior cleaning, leather cleaning and reconditioning, carpet extraction, cleaning and spot removal, brightwork polishing and finishing, and aircraft paint restoration, polishing and cutting back.
- Interior Detail – cabin area – clean seats, windows, window shades, seat frames, seating trays, personal monitors, cup holders, vacuum under seating area and centre aisle.
- Exterior Detail – clean exterior passenger fuselage entrance way and window, clean wings, flaps and leading edge, clean rear fuselage, stabiliser and elevators, clean front fuselage and cockpit windshields, clean landing gear, gear compartment and engine rear thrust reverser area.
- Bright Work – use orbital machining buffer after training, polish and shine all leading edges and metallic surfaces.
- Cutting back – scratch removal and corrosion removal.
- Become familiar with various aircraft and the detailing requirements of each.
- Responsible for the correct use and care of company equipment.
- Work in accordance with all company policies, procedures and processes – always giving special consideration to health.
