Your Responsibilities
- Attend college regularly, completing all college work on time and to the best of your ability, making submissions within designated deadlines (no holidays to be taken during college term time).
- Pass all required exams within the timeframe designated by the training provider.
- Attend the workplace during college holidays or if college is closed for any reason.
- Observe and shadow experienced engineers and mechanics to learn the skills, processes and techniques required to carry out the role.
- Participate in all training as required by VAMF.
- Behave responsibly at all times, complying with the Vista code of conduct and acting as an ambassador for Vista Aircraft Maintenance Farnborough.
- Act in a safe manner at all times, giving consideration to local compliance and safety requirements.
- Undertake any reasonable activities as requested by Hangar management in line with the role.
Vista Aircraft Maintenance are now looking for apprentices to join the team in September 2026. Through a blend of classroom and workshop learning at Farnborough College of Technology in combination with hands-on experience on our extensive fleet of aircraft, the apprenticeship is an opportunity to start a career in aircraft engineering with the market leader in business aviation.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Passion for aviation.
- Good at undertaking practical tasks.
- Five GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including Maths, English and one Science or Technical subject.
- Good interpersonal/communication skills.
- PC literate, familiar with Microsoft Office.
- Able to demonstrate solid organisation and time-management skills.
- Must be able to undertake the physical elements of the role.
