As a Senior Product Manager, Flight Operations, you will shape and deliver the systems that power worldwide business aviation operations. This role owns high impact product bets across scheduling, maintenance coordination, and service delivery—partnering closely with Flight Operations leadership and engineering teams to solve real operational problems and deliver measurable outcomes. This is a senior level role with meaningful ownership over discovery, scoping, prioritization, and success metrics, operating within a Shape Up–inspired product development model.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Flight Operations leaders to understand pain points, map current processes, and co-create future state workflows.
- Lead stakeholder discovery, interviews, and journey mapping sessions to identify high‑value opportunities.
- Write clear product pitches defining problems, proposed solutions, scope boundaries, appetite (time/resources), risks, tradeoffs, and success metrics.
- Collaborate with engineering to validate technical feasibility, assess effort, and surface risks early.
- Define measurable outcomes for each initiative including KPIs, success criteria, and operational/financial impact.
- Set constraints that enable creative problem‑solving without over‑engineering.
- Own post‑launch measurement, report outcomes to stakeholders, and iterate based on real‑world impact.
- Build and maintain product roadmaps communicating priorities, sequencing, and long‑term vision.
- Balance business needs with technical realities in decision‑making.
- Mentor and guide other product managers on discovery, shaping, and outcome‑driven delivery.
Required Skills And Experience
- 7+ years of product management experience with modern development methodologies.
- Aviation operations software experience (scheduling systems, maintenance platforms, or service booking solutions).
- Proven discovery and research skills including stakeholder interviews, journey mapping, and process analysis.
- Strong technical foundation with ability to collaborate on API integrations, backend services, computational/optimization algorithms, and modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, responsive design).
- Demonstrated metrics‑driven approach with ability to define success criteria and measure business impact.
- Extensive experience shaping work—framing problems, setting scope constraints, and working iteratively.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills across all organizational levels, including executives.
