Your Responsibilities
- This is a high‐trust role requiring strong problem structuring, execution through influence, and high emotional intelligence. You will build effective relationships across senior stakeholders, operate with discretion and sound judgement, and help reduce friction between teams by driving alignment and consistent follow‐through.
- This is a strategic, cross‐functional execution role. You will lead through influence and coordination rather than direct line management or functional ownership of Sales, Pricing, Planning, or Technology.
- Commercial Operating Rhythm and Leadership Effectiveness
- Build and run a disciplined weekly/monthly operating cadence that covers priorities, required decisions, owners, milestones, and follow‐through.
- Improve the efficiency and quality of leadership forums by establishing clear standards for pre‐reads (where needed), decision points, action capture, and closure.
- Reduce low‐value meeting load by simplifying the meeting landscape, sharpening agendas, and ensuring the right people are in the room for the right decisions.
- Prioritisation and Focus (Intake and Filtering)
- Implement a transparent intake and prioritisation approach that protects leadership time and keeps focus on the highest‐impact work.
- Maintain a single view of priority initiatives, dependencies, key risks, and decision points to ensure leaders maintain ongoing clarity.
- Act as an effective filter to prevent ad hoc requests and informal comments from becoming unplanned workstreams without clear outcomes, owners, and resourcing.
- Cross‐Functional Initiative Delivery
- Lead a small number of high‐priority, cross‐functional initiatives across Sales, Pricing, Planning and Technology from problem definition through to delivery.
- Turn ambiguity into structured execution plans with clear objectives, milestones, success measures, owners, and trade‐offs.
- Identify blockers early, coordinate the right stakeholders to resolve them, and keep delivery moving at the pace with clear accountability.
- Decision Support, Risk Visibility, and Follow‐Through
- Produce high‐quality decision support for the CRO and leadership group, including briefings, options papers, and clear recommendations when required.
- Maintain visibility into execution risks, interdependencies, and potential failure points and elevate appropriately using agreed thresholds.
- Ensure decisions convert into action by tracking commitments, clarifying owners and timelines, and consistently closing loops.
- Stakeholder Alignment and CRO Representation
- Build strong working relationships across Commercial leaders and key partner functions to support alignment and delivery.
- Identify misalignment early and help resolve it in a neutral, enterprise‐first way, preventing cross‐functional work from becoming siloed or partisan.
- Represent the CRO in selected internal forums (e.g., Planning and Technology execution meetings), operating within clearly defined decision rights and escalation rules.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Education
- Bachelor's degree required (Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field preferred). MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Professional Experience
- Significant experience delivering complex cross‐functional work in a fast‐paced environment (e.g., commercial operations, program leadership, strategy and operations, consulting with delivery ownership).
- Proven ability to drive outcomes through influence (without formal authority) and to operate credibly with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and turn them into clear decisions and delivery plans.
- Comfort working with data and operational detail, with the ability to synthesise into executive‐level insights.
- Technical and Execution Capability
- Strong written and verbal communication: crisp, decision‐oriented outputs.
- Ability to build operating structure: cadence, templates, action tracking, decision logs.
- High judgment and discretion with sensitive information.
- Proficiency with modern productivity tools; comfort using AI/tooling to accelerate synthesis and preparation.
