About Us
Vista Civil Engineering specialise in new-build Section 278 and infrastructure schemes across the UK. We are seeking a motivated and personable Site Manager to join our growing business. This role will work closely with the Group Engineering Manager, supporting operations within the Southern and Central regions, and will be primarily based in our Tring office. The Role
This role is primarily site-based, and is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice, graduate or experienced site manager, to work for a dynamic company striving to become a leader in Section 278 and infrastructure works. We are looking for a results-driven individual with a strong focus on attention to detail and delivering high-quality highway works. You will maintain clear communication with all third-party stakeholders while ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety standards. Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver highway construction works under guidance, with regular updates.
- Support multiple projects and apply project management principles.
- Contribute to desk-based studies, research, and analysis.
- Conduct site inspections and investigations.
- Compile site reports.
- Review tenders, quotations, bill of quantities and commercial aspects.
- Support valuations, costing, and assessments.
- Provide technical support and on-site problem-solving.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to follow design drawings.
- Engage with residents, stakeholders, sub-contractors, and local authorities.
- Monitor construction works for compliance with specifications and standards.
- Supervise sub-contractors, including site inductions, permit authorisation, and records.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
- Produce or review AutoCAD drawings.
- Assist with adoption documentation and sign-off.
Based in a modern, open-plan office environment, with regular visits to project sites as required. Standard office hours are 8:30am β 5:00pm, with an early finish at 4:30pm on Fridays. Flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
