The CFO will lead the business and financial functions of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles for WVNSG, VNSW, VNSW Foundation and VNSW CCN, and has direct oversight for the leaders in Information Technology, Facilities and Administrative Services.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates and oversees all operational/financial systems of the organization.
- Obtains pertinent information and analysis to monitor operations and develops a metrics strategy for the organization’s balanced scorecard.
- Partners with CEO on agency expansion and acquisition opportunities.
- Preparation of detailed business plans and projections for all new opportunities and expansion to other areas of health care.
- Manage all grant funding and reporting through the VNSW Foundation.
- Formulates, interprets and transmits financial policies and procedures at all levels in the organization.
- Collaborates with peers to secure state, federal or private grants.
- Develops credibility for the finance group, IT, and Facilities/Administrative Services by providing and ensuring the timely provision of accurate analysis of budgets, operational performance and revenue trends.
- Partners with CEO and senior leaders to develop the annual budget and financial projections with attention to achieving a positive financial performance.
- Collaborates in the assessment and development of new business services.
- Develops reliable and predictable cash flow projections and reporting mechanisms.
- Oversees the assessment and implementation of information systems to support delivery of patient care and financial operations.
- Reviews systems applications and directs IT and/or Administrative direct reports to work towards automation of business processes.
- Provides strategic financial input and assessment to issues affecting the organization.
- In collaboration with peers, reviews existing managed care contracts, negotiates contract renewals and assesses new contract opportunities.
- Develops financial reports for review at the Finance Committee and Board of Directors meetings.
- Develops external banking relationships to leverage banking resources to support strategic growth.
- Develops and fosters external audit relationships, directing agency resources in the successful completion of planned or unexpected fiscal audits.
- Collaborates with Director of Facilities and Administration in the oversight of real estate holdings and facilities management.
- Continually assesses operational structures of all departments and plans for improvement to gain efficient outcomes and identify growth opportunities for direct reports.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 current years of experience in health care finance with five or more years in a financial leadership position.
- Masters in Business or related field is preferred.
- BA or BBA is required.
- CPA is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Homecare Homebase, HHA Exchange, Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge is a plus.
- Must have excellent administrative, organizational and leadership skills.
- Must have home healthcare experience.
Salary Range: $165,000 - $210,000
