Job Description

Location: 75B Sydenham Road

Are you ready to lead with heart and make a lasting impact?

Visiting Angels Northern Ireland is growing, and we're looking for an exceptional Care Supervisor to join our leadership team. This is a role for someone who is passionate about quality care, loves developing people, and wants to be part of something that truly makes a difference.

At Visiting Angels NI, we believe that when our team feels valued and supported, our clients receive the very best care. That starts with great leadership and that's where you come in.

About The Role

You will play a central part in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered consistently across our client base. Working closely with the Registered Manager and care team, you will:

  • Supervise, mentor and support our caregivers through regular observations, competency assessments and 1:1 supervision
  • Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments and create outcome-led, person-centred care plans and risk assessments
  • Carry out regular client courtesy calls and respond meaningfully to feedback
  • Support new caregivers in the field through induction and ongoing training
  • Act as a key point of contact between clients, families, caregivers and management
  • Ensure full compliance with RQIA standards, safeguarding procedures, and Visiting Angels NI policies
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota on a rotational basis
  • Escalate concerns promptly and support a culture of continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a domiciliary or community care setting
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or actively working towards it)
  • Registered with NISCC or eligible to register upon appointment
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred care planning and risk assessment
  • Confident communicator with genuine compassion and leadership presence
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or Leadership & Management in Adult Care
  • Previous supervisory or field care supervisor experience
  • Familiarity with digital care management platforms
  • Experience working to RQIA regulatory standards

Personal Attributes

You are warm, organised, and proactive. You lead by example, hold yourself and others to a high standard, and genuinely care about the people you work with both clients and colleagues. You're resilient under pressure, solutions-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.

Ready to lead with purpose?

Visiting Angels Northern Ireland is an equal opportunities employer. All appointments are subject to Enhanced Access NI disclosure and satisfactory references. NISCC registration is a condition of employment.

About The Company

Our NISCC-registered care assistants deliver personal care, companionship, dementia care, live-in care, overnight support, respite care, and post-hospital recovery, all tailored to each individual's needs. If you are looking for meaningful home care jobs in Belfast or Northern Ireland, Visiting Angels is the employer for you.

Company Culture

At Visiting Angels Northern Ireland, our culture is built on dignity, compassion, and respect. We believe that great care starts with great caregivers, which is why we invest heavily in the wellbeing, training, and professional development of every member of our team.
