About the role
Brooks Guesthouse is a boutique guesthouse in Bath. We have an exciting opportunity for a General Assistant to join our team and help the Duty Manager with a variety of tasks including waiting tables, housekeeping, and reception duties.
Responsibilities
Typical tasks for our General Assistant include:
- Waiting tables at breakfast time,serving guests and taking breakfast orders, andperforming a variety of cleaning tasksincluding sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, and other common areas
- Emptyingtrash and replacing liners
- Restocking supplies in restrooms and common areas
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor
- Reception tasks, including answering the phone; handling booking enquiries; booking admin with guests; and reservations.
Full training will be provided,however computer skills & working knowledge of English are required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping management preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required

- Ability to commute/relocate to:
Bath BA1 2NA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) - Experience:
Hotel: 1 year (preferred)
