Street and Drainage Maintenance Worker
Trains to perform a variety of general repair and maintenance tasks as a member of a crew. Punctuality is a must.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Repairs and maintains storm sewers and drains.
- Digs up and/or fills holes.
- Performs manhole inspections throughout the City.
- Reads meters and replaces old and/or defective meters.
- Repairs City sidewalks, inlets, gutters, curbs, and streets.
- Cleans out culverts.
- Loads and unloads equipment and supplies.
- Performs manual labor as necessary.
- Performs all other duties as may be assigned by Street & Drainage Crew Leader.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
