About Mizu

Situated at Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa on the shores of Derwentwater, Mizu is a stylish pan-Asian dining experience that brings together Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine in a beautiful Lake District setting. With a relaxed, Zen-inspired décor, riverside terrace and open-plan kitchen, guests enjoy everything from sushi and sashimi to fragrant curries, grilled meats and our signature Asian-inspired afternoon tea.

The Role – Restaurant Supervisor

As Restaurant Supervisor at Mizu you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service, supporting the Restaurant Manager and guiding our team to ensure every guest has a seamless and memorable dining experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting front-of-house team members during service (Breakfast, lunch and evening)
  • Ensuring high standards of service, presentation and guest experience are maintained consistently
  • Assisting in training, mentoring and coaching the team to deliver the Mizu brand
  • Helping manage reservations, guest arrivals and floor operations to ensure smooth flow
  • Monitoring and maintaining dining room ambience, table settings, cleanliness and presentation
  • Liaising closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure excellent coordination and service delivery
  • Handling guest enquiries, feedback and service recovery in a friendly and professional manner
  • Supporting stock control, ordering, and ensuring compliance with health & safety, licensing and hygiene standards
  • Standing in for the Restaurant Manager when required and contributing to team meetings, service planning and seasonal menu roll-outs

  • Previous supervisory experience in a high-volume, fine or casual dining environment
  • Strong leadership skills and a natural ability to motivate others
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confident guest-facing manner with a passion for delivering service with warmth and attention to detail
  • A genuine interest in pan-Asian cuisine and a desire to learn and promote our unique offering
  • Flexibility to different shifts, weekends and bank holidays as required
