Role: Finance Business Partner/Assistant Management Accountant
Client: Creative Agency
Location: Central London
Hybrid: 3 days in office
Contract: 12 months – starting mid-July
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Vision FR is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded independent creative agency in the search for a 12-month maternity cover Finance Business Partner/Assistant Management Accountant.
Supporting the Financial Controller, this role will play a key part in the smooth running of the day-to-day finance function within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This opportunity would suit someone who is organised, confident in communicating across teams and comfortable managing a varied workload within a busy agency setting.
Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner / Assistant Management Accountant:
- Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Process Credit card costs
- Ensure supplier costs and invoices are processed in line with monthly reporting deadlines
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Process monthly journals, reconciliations and overhead analysis to support accurate and timely month-end reporting
- Manage payment runs and supplier communications, ensuring queries are resolved professionally and efficiently
- Prepare management Accounts, reporting and commentary for associated entities, monthly analysis
- Support the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end processes for the main entity
- Oversee the finances of smaller associated entities, Billing, purchase ledger, cash & Bank, with support from the Financial Controller
- Ensure statutory submissions including VAT, P11D and related filings are completed on time
- Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes and systems
- Build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, communicating clearly and professionally
- Provide reports and assistance to FC and MD to aid decision making
Key Skills & Experience of the Finance Business Partner / Assistant Management Accountant:
- AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA studier
- Experience in a similar finance role, ideally within a fast-paced commercial or creative environment
- Experience of Sage and Concept is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and reporting schedules
- Confident communicator, able to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Calm under pressure with strong prioritisation skills
