VisionFR has an excellent opportunity to find a qualified accountant to be the first Head of Financial Audits at an expanding international consultancy in the creative sector. They are looking for an ambitious candidate to join a client services function.
The Role of the Head of Financial Audit:
- Own overall service delivery and quality outcomes
- Lead the delivery of financial compliance and verification audits
- Review agency and partner performance against contractual and financial requirements
- Assess data integrity, controls, and processes supporting client commitments
- Ensure audits are delivered consistently, professionally, and to agreed standards
- Set the delivery approach, methodology, and operating model for audit services
- Lead and develop a specialist compliance team, including line management and coaching
- Build effective working relationships with agencies, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Deliver work in line with relevant international audit and assurance standards where required
- Design and maintain scalable processes, documentation, and best-practice playbooks
- Oversee audit delivery across multiple teams and regions
- Act as a senior point of contact for audit engagements and client programmes
- Define audit scope, manage engagement documentation, and oversee execution
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery, quality, and efficiency
- Maintain oversight of resource planning, utilisation, and delivery timelines
- Support the development and evolution of service offerings and capabilities
- Lead complex or high-value engagements where senior expertise is required
- Enable adoption of tools, technology, and automation to improve delivery and insight
Skills and Experience of the Head of Financial Audits:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA)
- Significant experience in senior finance, commercial, or audit roles
- Background in contract review and compliance or assurance work
- Confident communicator, able to translate complex information for a range of stakeholders
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams
- Highly organised with strong project and time management skills
- Effective relationship builder with sound judgement and negotiation skills
- Comfortable managing senior client and partner interactions
- Interest in, or exposure to, marketing, media, or related sectors
- Experience working across multiple regions or international environments
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
