VisionFR are delighted to be working with a fab design agency who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team reporting into the Finance Manager. The Finance Assistant will provide day-to-day support to the finance team, ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with reporting. The role is essential in supporting the smooth running of financial operations and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
Finance Assistant key responsibilities will include:
- Process invoices, purchase orders, expense claims, and payments in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations.
- Support in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, following up on outstanding balances.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports.
- Respond to queries from staff, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience in a finance, accounting, or administrative support role.
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confidentiality and integrity when handling financial information.
- Previous experience using Paprika is desirable but not essential.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
- Proactive and willing to learn.
- Team player with a flexible approach.
