Visionerds is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Robotics & Computer Vision to help build the future of intelligent robotic welding systems. In this role, you will work at the intersection of AI, robotics, computer vision, and industrial automation, developing advanced robotic perception systems for real-world manufacturing environments. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex welding challenges using deep learning, sensor fusion, and 3D perception technologies. This is an opportunity to work on cutting‑edge robotics applications with real production impact while helping shape the future direction of perception technologies within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced algorithms for robotic perception systems tailored to industrial welding applications.
  • Integrate and process data from multiple vision sensors including RGB/GigE cameras, LiDAR, and ToF depth sensors.
  • Drive research initiatives focused on solving welding-related challenges using computer vision, image processing, point cloud analysis, and 3D sensor fusion.
  • Design and lead experiments evaluating state-of-the-art deep learning models for robotic perception systems.
  • Optimize machine learning pipelines and deploy robust perception solutions for production environments.
  • Collaborate with robotics, software, and hardware teams to build scalable intelligent systems.
  • Stay updated with advancements in Robotics, Computer Vision, and AI research and apply cutting-edge approaches to real-world problems.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across perception and machine learning initiatives.
  • Contribute to architectural and strategic technical decisions aligned with long‑term product and business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing machine learning solutions for real-world robotics or industrial systems.
  • Strong expertise in Python, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Computer Vision, and 3D Data Processing.
  • Experience working with RGB/GigE cameras, LiDAR sensors, ToF depth sensors, and sensor fusion techniques.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning model development, optimization, and deployment.
  • Proven ability to bridge research concepts into practical production-ready systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ROS/ROS2.
  • Familiarity with industrial robotics systems.
  • Knowledge of welding automation or manufacturing workflows.
