MySightYork supports over 1,700 local people living with sight loss. We are entering a new phase with our 2025–2028 Strategy and are looking for committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees.

Role: Trustee

Location: York/Hybrid

Hours: 4–6 hours per month

Salary: Voluntary

As a Trustee, you will help guide our strategic direction, support strong governance, and play a key role in shaping services that make a real difference. You do not need formal qualifications—just enthusiasm, integrity, and a willingness to contribute. We welcome people from all backgrounds and are especially interested in applicants with experience or interest in areas such as fundraising, governance, HR, IT, marketing, equality and diversity, or business development. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Trustees commit around 4–6 hours per month. Meetings are held every two months in York or online, and travel expenses can be claimed. If you want to develop your skills, broaden your experience, and support people with sight loss across York, we want to hear from you.
