About Us:
We are proud to be working with a wonderful primary school in Upminster, in the Borough of Havering. The school is looking for a Year 1 LSA to support a child on a 2:1 basis. The child’s needs are predominantly SEMH. If you would like to work in an enriched environment as a Year 1 LSA and support an astute and bright child, then this is the school for you! As a Year 1 LSA, you will be required to be active and resilient. The school strongly believes in helping all children achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a Year 1 LSA
- Supporting a Year 1 child with SEMH
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a Primary School as a Year 1 LSA
- Experience working with children with SEMH
- Understanding of varying types of SEN
