Vision Teaching is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Whetstone to recruit a dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant to join their team after half-term. Set on a spacious, green site surrounded by nature, this two-form entry school provides a calm and inspiring environment where children are encouraged to enjoy learning, build confidence and achieve their potential. The school has a strong inclusive ethos, including specialist provision for pupils with Education Health Care Plans for cognition and learning or autism, and is committed to ensuring every child feels supported and valued. The staff team works closely with families and the wider community to create a positive, nurturing and ambitious learning culture, underpinned by values such as respect, determination, compassion, responsibility and equality.

The role

You will support teaching and learning within Nursery and Reception, working alongside the class teacher and Early Years team to deliver high-quality provision for all pupils. The role includes supporting learning through play, leading small group activities and providing targeted support for children with additional needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
  • Deliver small group and one-to-one interventions
  • Assist with planning, preparation and classroom organisation
  • Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and independence
