We are a teaching agency working with a two-form entry primary school in the heart of London’s East End, looking for an experienced Reception SEN TA.

About The Client:

We are proud to be working with a two-form entry community school with a focus on achieving strong academic outcomes in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The school is looking for a Reception SEN TA to support pupils with high SEN. If you would like to work in a multicultural environment as a Reception SEN TA, then this is the school for you! As a Reception SEN TA, you would be responsible for supporting pupils within groups and on a 1:1 basis. Their needs are predominantly SEMH, Non-Verbal and Autism. The start date for this Reception SEN TA role is ASAP.

Key Responsibilities for the Reception SEN TA:

  • Work as a Reception SEN TA
  • Supporting pupils with high needs as a Reception SEN TA
  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Required Skills and Qualifications for the Reception SEN TA:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a Primary School
  • Confident in using visual aids and/or Makaton
  • Experience working with children with SEMH and Autism
  • Experience working as a Reception SEN TA
