About the role

In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support for both software and hardware, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Key duties include analyzing system logs, preparing root cause analysis (RCA) reports, and optimizing software deployments on Windows systems. You’ll manage issue backlogs through Azure DevOps, support the full software development lifecycle, and assist with customer system integrations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in software engineering, particularly in testing, debugging, and object-oriented programming languages like C# or Java, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Specify, plan, maintain, and diagnose deployments of software applications on Windows clients and servers within customer environments.
  • Produce and verify change-order documentation to support safe and effective updates to live systems.
  • Manage and prioritize issue backlogs using Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication across teams.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including debugging, testing, quality assurance, and deployment.
  • Apply best practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and unit testing.
  • Assist with customer system integrations during development, rollout, and ongoing support phases.
  • Provide ad hoc hardware support within the VisionRT ecosystem, including workstation builds and upgrades.
  • Utilize strong object-oriented programming skills (ideally in C# or Java) and apply design patterns effectively.
  • Work with databases including SQL, NoSQL, or other relational database systems.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients and colleagues via phone, Teams, and in person.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Highly skilled in Software engineering in test, this can be from commercial experience (will consider undergraduate degree or Bootcamp in Computer Science, with strong OOP’s skills, ideally C# or Java)
  • Expertise or good understanding or testing processes like TDD, CI/CD, units tests, etc
  • Expertise or good understanding or good knowledge of debugging & troubleshooting
  • Strong coding skills in an OOP language ideally C# i.e. knowing classes, concepts, etc
  • Experience with design patterns
  • Expertise or good understanding with SQL, NoSQL, or any RDBMS
  • Expertise or good understanding of building works stations from scratch or upgrading, either at home or work (i.e. installing; PCIe, Motherboards, RAM, GPU, CPU, etc)
  • Good soft skills for customer care and ability to deal with business contacts, customers and colleagues, by telephone, Teams and in person, in a warm and friendly manner – nice

  • Good understanding of computer Networking and Operating system
