About the role
The Events Assistant will be responsible for supporting the team across all aspects of event planning and delivery, and will also project manage their own portfolio of smaller meetings, conferences, webinars and tradeshows.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with day‑to‑day planning and timely execution of virtual, in‑person and hybrid events
- Commission and manage stock of merchandise items and marketing collateral
- Act as central coordinator for regular event suppliers across shipping, booth design, AV and other services
- Prepare and manage communications with event speakers, including collating content and coordinating travel requirements
- On occasion, attend events to assist with logistics and attendee hosting
- Manage shared email inboxes, ensuring enquiries are responded to in a timely manner
- Provide ad‑hoc support to the broader Marketing team as required
3 days a week in our Finchley office, with ability to occasionally work nonstandard hours when required.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent, or 1‑2 years commercial events experience
- Strong ability to work as part of a team, as well as to demonstrate initiative and solve problems independently
- Extremely organized and confident in ability to multi task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
