An exciting opportunity has arisen for passionate instrumental teachers to join the vibrant team at Redbridge Music Service, part of Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure.

We are looking to appoint a new Trombone specialist to our expanding brass team. The nature of the work would involve teaching individual and small group lessons both on the trombone and other brass instruments. In addition to this, the role includes playing in the Music Service Brass recital quintet, performing weekly at different schools in the borough to promote the instruments of the brass family. Having the ability to deliver or support Whole Class Ensemble Teaching would be an advantage.

The work would involve working on Wednesday afternoons and evenings, with the possibility of additional days and times to be discussed at interview.

Working for Redbridge Music Service:

  • Based at the John Savage Centre in Hainault, delivering tuition in 48 Redbridge schools.
  • Immersed in a world of musical energy, surrounded by instruments, creativity, and passion for teaching children, adults, toddlers, and even babies.
  • Over 50 concerts per year, including performances at iconic venues like the Royal Albert Hall.
  • Your role will directly impact the musical journeys of talented students in the community.

Essential requirements:

  • Music Degree or equivalent
  • Good Musical Skills, effective oral and written communication
  • High level of performance on your main instrument
  • Good knowledge of the technical demands of any instrument you are competent to teach.
