We’re seeking a confident and proactive Health & Safety Compliance Manager to lead all Health, Safety and Compliance functions across our Parks and Open Spaces service. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that our operational teams, parks, public spaces and facilities consistently meet the highest standards of safety, legal compliance and risk management. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the development, implementation and continual improvement of safety policies, procedures, audits and reporting systems — embedding a proactive culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement across the service. Working closely with our managers, you will provide expert support to deliver robust risk assessments, effective training and meaningful safety improvements. Job requirements:
- Proven experience developing, implementing and revising H&S policies and procedures.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and safety investigations.
- Delivery toolbox talks, training sessions and guidance on emerging risks and safe working practices.
- Monitor contractor compliance and review contractor risk assessments and safety plans.
- Experience managing contractors and reviewing their RAMS.
Essential requirements:
- NEBOSH Diploma or General Certificate with relevant experience.
- Membership of IOSH.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- 5+ years’ experience in Health & Safety, ideally with Compliance or Quality exposure.
