Located within the scenic views of Fairlop Waters Lake, the boat house is the central hub for all that visit Fairlop waters. Within the facilities is a bar and restaurant open all year round as well as a large function hall and a small meeting room which is available to hire. Surrounding the venue are accessible pathways, nature routes, climbing facilities for all ages, the largest boulder park in the UK as well as a natural play area and facilities for water sports on the lake.

We are looking for someone experienced in delivering all aspects of a busy Front of House operation and passionate about all things customer service. You should have experience with managing medium size teams, customer service environment, F&B services and be keen to learn and progress with us as we grow.

This is a hands‑on role; you will be the most crucial part of our front of house operations. Involved in coffee/food preparation and general service, ensuring all areas are fully staffed, maintained and service delivery provided to a very high standard.

Key Tasks

  • To ensure the full range of hospitality services are delivered to high standards.
  • To ensure the efficient running of the facility management of the hospitality team, customer service excellence, health & safety and security.
  • To be responsible for managing the customer experience in a positive and professional manner.
  • To liaise with venue manager in regards to the smooth running of the venue.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience of staff supervision within a hospitality or leisure facility.
  • Previous experience of delivering a range of events and private functions.
  • Food & Hygiene Certificate.
  • A high understanding of customer service.
  • Required to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
