My client is a leading distributor of small domestic appliances and houseware products. Having gone from strength to strength in recent years, they are now continuing to grow the quality assurance department by adding a Product Development Engineer to the existing team.
As a Product Development Engineer you will be responsible for the research and development of the existing line of products identifying possible faults and looking for areas of improvement. Through selecting products from stock for assessment, you will liaise with the Quality and Buying team diagnosing issues and trends with products and making recommendations.
Qualifications
- Relevant engineering qualifications either mechanical or electrical
- Previous experience of working with small domestic appliances
- Previous experience of working within a test laboratory/test facility
- Understanding of UK and European standards and codes of practice
