We are recruiting on behalf of a highways contractor for the Bournebridge Hill, Halstead Section 278 Highway Works scheme in Essex.
A full-time supervisor is in place on site to handle paperwork we need a competent team to build the job.
This is a long-term opportunity running through to December 2026.
Working Hours Monday to Friday | 07:30 16:30 Occasional Saturdays | 07:30 12:00 full day pay The Role You will work as part of a three-man gang on a live highways scheme, carrying out kerb laying and general groundworks activities across the site.
Scope of works includes: Installing kerbs, edgings and tactile paving Drainage installation including ditches and new surface water drainage runs Carriageway construction support works General highways groundworks Requirements Proven kerb laying experience (essential) Previous highways or civils groundworks experience CSCS card (essential) NRSWA Streetworks Operative ticket (at least one per gang essential) Full 6-point PPE including xwwtmva fireproof overalls Available to start 27th July 2026 no exceptions Able to commit to the full duration through to December 2026 What's on Offer Competitive day rate dependent on experience Full day pay on Saturday working Long-term project until December 2026 Contact Luca directly on for any questions.
