Are you an experienced Assistant Site Manager with a solid background in residential new build? We are recruiting on behalf of a nationally recognised, 5-star rated housebuilder for a permanent Assistant Site Manager to join their established site team on a live development in Ipswich.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will assist in managing the development through to completion, ensuring programme, quality, and cost targets are met at every stage. When required, you will deputise for the Site Manager, motivating and managing the site-based team to ensure the highest health, safety, and environmental performance standards are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on, boots-on-site role. You will be working closely with trades and their supervision daily, identifying problems early, communicating solutions clearly, and driving the development forward to programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Manager in the day-to-day control and delivery of the development
  • Manage subcontractors, monitoring attendance and progress, and providing direct instruction where required to ensure contractual arrangements are achieved
  • Carry out quality inspections at all key build stages: foundations, superstructure, pre-plaster, and pre-handover
  • Ensure full NHBC compliance and support the Site Manager
