Delivering specialist services across electrical works, statutory compliance, security solutions and facilities maintenance, this is a well-established and reputable business with a strong client base across multiple sectors.
The Role involves looking for a fully qualified Fire Alarm Engineer based in or around the OX or HP postcode area to join a growing team delivering fire alarm installations, replacements and maintenance across a varied portfolio of commercial and residential sites. You will be a confident, experienced engineer capable of working across all major brands and platforms, managing your own workload and delivering a high standard of work with minimal supervision. The role includes emergency call-out cover so flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, commissioning and replacing fire alarm systems across commercial and residential sites
- Fault finding and rectification on existing fire alarm systems
- Working across all major fire alarm brands and software platforms
- Reading and interpreting zone charts accurately
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on fire alarm systems
- Responding to emergency call-outs as required
- Completing accurate job records, reports and certification
- Liaising professionally with clients and site contacts
- Ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with BS5839 and BAFE standards
- Working with POV systems where required
- Supporting HVAC-related works where applicable
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Fire Alarm Engineer, FIA or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of BAFE standards and requirements (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret zone charts (essential)
- Proven experience installing and maintaining fire alarm systems across multiple brands
- Strong knowledge of BS5839, BAFE
- Experienced with a range of fire alarm software platforms
- Based in or around the OX or HP postcode area
- Willingness to travel across the region
- Available for emergency call-outs (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- CSCS card
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and manage own workload efficiently
