Vision Personnel have registered a fantastic opportunity for a Design Managers within the fit out / refurbishment / new buildsector. My client are looking for a highly experienced individual who has extensive experience in Design Management and a steady employment history. Major responsibilities: Responsible for managing all the processes of producing working drawings from which the building can be built, this will include direct communication with other departments within the business. * Managing the design process using his/her commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise; * Attending design meetings, reporting back to all individuals connected to the project. * Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and his/her obligations in the development of a building design; * Striving to eliminate health and safety risks (CDM) in the design and financial risks during construction. * Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate; * Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales; * Assist the estimating team in the pricing of any design that may need clarification at tender stage. * Liaise with the Directors regarding recruitment of any staff within the department. * Future development with design procedures, BIM. * To bear any other reasonable responsibilities and undertake any other…
