Vision Personnel are seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to join a growing Fit-Out company based in Essex. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, energetic, and come from a background of either quantity surveying or estimation and with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the construction industry. If you have worked within the fit-out sector, are confident in client facing, and looking for a clear route to progression - this could be the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Support & Administration
- Assist in preparing commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Support the preparation and review of customer contracts.
- Maintain accurate records of commercial documents, pricing models, and contract changes.
- Monitor contract performance, profitability, and KPIs.
- Support financial modelling, forecasting, and pricing calculations.
- Analyse sales and revenue data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Work closely with key customers to support ongoing commercial discussions.
- Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Operations, Legal) to ensure alignment on commercial terms and obligations.
- Assist in resolving commercial queries from customers or internal stakeholders.
- Assist in identifying commercial risks and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Support contract governance processes and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
- Monitor contractual obligations and escalate potential issues early.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in a commercial, sales operations, project administration, or finance support role.
- Understanding of basic contract law or commercial principles.
- Experience with CRM or ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in BSc / BA in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management, Construction Economics (preferred but not essential).
