We are seeking an experienced Business Travel Manager to join a great team with a hybrid working model in the Surrey area.

The Business Travel Manager will oversee the entire Business Travel department, including account management, staff training, and performance management. The ideal candidate should possess good financial acumen and strong technology skills.

Business Travel Manager Duties

  • Promote and market the company at all available opportunities to maximize new business and brand awareness.
  • Maintain quality control within the department.
  • Conduct staff meetings, appraisals, interviews, and support staff development.
  • Stay informed about industry changes, attend meetings and conferences, and serve as the main contact for clients and suppliers.
  • Identify and implement avenues of earnings to increase profitability.
  • Demonstrate switch selling to suppliers offering the highest commissions.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to benefit both clients and the company.
  • Manage client relationships, travel policy updates, SLAs, and ensure client expectations are exceeded.
  • Research, implement, and train staff on new technology.
  • Carry out travel reservations on behalf of clients.
