Accounts Assistant, Finance

Join to apply for the Accounts Assistant, Finance role at Vision Municipal Solutions . Working Pattern We are looking for an enthusiastic and thoughtful individual to join our group finance team. The Accounts Assistant will play a pivotal role, taking ownership of data input for revenue recognition & accounts payable. Location and Reporting Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role offers on-the-job training and is a great opportunity to develop new technical and practical skills. Study support will be provided for further education within Finance (ACCA/CIMA) once probation has passed. The Role: Primary Responsibilities Achieve a well-recognised finance qualification. Support revenue recognition for month-end processes. Send out invoices & upload to portals. Provide support for payment runs. Proactively ensure outstanding timesheets are completed from client and non-client facing teams. Own the data functions on the company-wide accounting system, including uploading new job codes, reallocating time and costs, and ensuring expenses are recorded and recharged appropriately. Deal with ad-hoc finance queries efficiently. Create purchase order requests and maintain PO trackers. Manage shared finance inboxes and perform supplier statement reconciliations. Set up new suppliers. Qualifications and Skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Great attention to detail. Excellent organisation and strong time management skills. Strong understanding and experience using Excel. Pro-active attitude and ability to work well in a close-knit team. Ability to build trusted relationships with clients.
