We are seeking an organised and experienced HR Manager for our client, an independent PR agency of 30 staff and growing quickly – you will be pivotal in setting up the processes and practices of the agency. The Owner needs a right hand supportive and capable individual to join the management team and help her professionalise the agency. A good level of mature mental attitude yet fun and forward thinking approach.
Key Responsibilities as HR Manager will include:
- Issuing staff contracts
- Managing the induction of new staff
- Compliance to law
- Setting up staff reviews and undertaking them
- Setting up policies
- Handbook creation
- Being the go-to person in the agency for staff
- Resolving staff complaints if there are any
- Managing the pay reviews
- Managing exit interviews as and when
- In charge of new hires / interviewing
- Ensuring staff morale is high at all times
- Looking at staff incentives
- Managing individuals' training and up-skilling needs
- Deciding who goes to what award ceremonies
- Managing the social events of the agency
- Looking at staff target/goal setting
- Looking at staff benefits and incentives
- Looking at staff utilisation - who is doing what/when
Key Attributes required:
- Previous experience working within a creative agency
- A full understanding of HR laws and best practice
- An outward going yet considerate approach
- A high degree of integrity
- Be a self-starter
- CIPD qualification advantageous
