Job Summary
Lunchtime Supervisors are required to support pupils with severe learning difficulties, autism and complex needs within a specialist SEND school in Walsall. Working 11:45am–1:15pm, this rewarding role is ideal for caring, patient and proactive individuals who enjoy supporting young people within a safe and positive lunchtime environment.
The School and Role
Mary Elliot Academy is looking to appoint compassionate Lunchtime Supervisors to support pupils during lunch and break times between 11:45am and 1:15pm each day. Supporting learners aged 11–18 with severe learning difficulties, autism and complex needs, you will encourage independence during mealtimes, promote positive social interactions and support pupils with personal care where required. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will help create a calm, safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience while ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the midday period.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults is desirable
- A caring, patient and proactive approach
- A willingness to support personal care where required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
