English Teacher – Long-Term Supply Opportunity

Vision for Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school from September 2026 until February 2027 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.

The Role

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential).
• Plan, prepare and assess engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff.
• Support pupils to develop confidence in reading, writing and communication skills.

The Ideal English Teacher Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• A genuine passion for English Language and English Literature.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
