About the Role

Looking to start a career in education? We are recruiting Trainee Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across BA14. No school experience is needed. This role is designed for people who want to learn on the job, gain real classroom experience, and build a long-term career in education. You’ll be supported from day one, working in welcoming primary school environments while developing your skills and confidence.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils in class, in small groups, or 1:1
  • Helping the class teacher with daily activities
  • Supporting learning, behaviour, and engagement
  • Building relationships with pupils in a primary setting
  • Gaining hands-on experience in real classrooms

Training & Development

As part of the role, you’ll complete our National Teaching Assistant Programme, which includes:

  • Safeguarding in education
  • Behaviour Management
  • Introduction to being a Teaching Assistant
  • SEN awareness in schools and colleges

You’ll be fully supported through each course and guided into your school placement.

Support & Placement

  • We will help you find a primary school placement in BA14
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
  • Guidance throughout your training and placement
  • Opportunities to progress into long-term or permanent roles

Flexible Work

  • 0-hour contract with full flexibility
  • Work around your availability
  • Day-to-day or longer placements available
