About the role:
- Vision for Education is recruiting experienced teachers for general cover roles in Primary, Secondary and SEND schools across Yorkshire, providing opportunities to work across a variety of subjects, Key Stages, and school settings.
The Role:
- As an experienced Teacher providing general cover, you will:
- Deliver lessons across multiple subjects, following existing schemes of work.
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Maintain high standards of student behaviour and engagement.
- Support learning for students across EYFS to KS2 (Primary), KS3 to KS5 (Secondary), or within SEND and alternative provision settings.
- Assist with exam preparation, assessments, and classroom administration.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson handovers.
- Gain experience across different schools, departments, and educational settings.
This role allows experienced teachers to make a direct impact on student learning while enjoying flexible working arrangements.
Requirements:
- To be considered for this general cover teaching role, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Recent teaching experience within Primary, Secondary, SEND or alternative provision settings.
- Confidence delivering lessons in multiple subjects (general cover experience is advantageous).
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to adapt to new schools and teaching environments.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
