Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team. This role involves working closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing in a classroom setting. As a Learning Support Assistant you will play a key role in helping students reach their full potential, providing tailored support to individuals and small groups, including those with additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist students with special educational needs, adapting approaches to meet their needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Encourage student participation, confidence, and independence
- Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to teaching staff
About you
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school‑based experience desirable)
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
