The predicted salary is between 35000 - 65000 £ per year.

Full Time - Monday – Friday - 8:30am – 15:30pm (Temporary, to permanent full time) Chesterfield

Pay to scale – £175 - £325 Per Day. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: UK QTS and experience working with students with special educational needs and behaviours that challenge.

Contract Dates: Monday 1st June 2026 – Flexible start dates available.

The role:

  • As a SEND Teacher, you will support the class in the delivery of lessons, whilst also providing support and guidance to students in their varied learning needs.
  • Working with students with special educational needs is rewarding but challenging; consistency and continuity are essential.
  • Ideally, you will have experience working with social, emotional and mental health needs of children or young adults, ASD, ADHA, MLD and emotional behaviour difficulties.

The School:

  • Based in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ SEND provision in the Chesterfield area, the school caters to needs including SEMH, ASC, ADHA, MLD and EBD.
  • It is passionate about providing high quality education, care and specialist support for all pupils.
  • The school caters for children from primary year to secondary (KS1 – KS5).
  • This role will be based in a secondary aged classroom.

Requirements:

  • To be considered, you will need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Primary or Secondary subject specialism – Ideally Maths and/or English.
  • Experience working with children with a variety of SEND including MLD/SLD/PMLD/ASD/SEMH/SEBD/PD/VI/HI and other complex needs.
  • Have previous experience within a similar specialist setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSA’s.
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
  • Ideally be Team Teach trained or willing to undertake a course free of charge through us.
