Vision for Education is recruiting for a School Administrator & Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming and friendly group of primary schools across a local trust in Hull and the East Riding.
About the role
This is a varied and rewarding position combining school office administration with classroom-based support.
Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact for pupils, staff, parents and visitors
- Provide general office and administrative support
- Maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information
- Support teachers in the classroom as a Teaching Assistant
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist with behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Help pupils access learning and stay engaged in lessons
This is a fast-paced role requiring strong organisation, adaptability, and a positive, proactive attitude. The role will begin on a supply basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate who demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
- Have previous administrative experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
- Ideally have experience working with children or in a primary school setting
- Be confident, approachable, and highly organised
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be adaptable and able to manage a varied workload
