Full Time – Monday – Friday (Temporary – Permanent)
Working hours: 08:30am – 15:30pm
£469.15 – £524.90 per week

The Role
Working closely with children and young people with complex needs including autism spectrum disorders (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), physical disabilities, social emotional and mental health (SEMH) and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will be working within a strong team of staff, supporting one another in the workplace. You must have a passion for education and a motivation to provide a good level of learning and development to students in a classroom environment. You will be supporting children between the ages of 5 – 16 years old (KS1 – KS4). You will be supporting young children who have communication and interaction difficulties, cognition and learning difficulties and sensory or physical difficulties.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, the school would require you to be supporting the classroom teacher by providing individual or small group assistance to students, helping with lesson preparation and delivery, managing classroom behaviour, and generally ensuring a positive learning environment for all pupils.

- Experience of working with individuals with Special Educational Needs.
- Experience of working with behaviours that challenge.
- Be a resilient and trustworthy worker with a passion for education.
- An ability to work as part of a strong team and support others where necessary.
- To be highly motivated, adaptable, committed and enthusiastic within the workplace.
