This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Geography Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Rochdale on a full-time, maternity cover initially for 2 terms starting September 2026. You’ll be teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 (Years 7–11), delivering engaging, creative lessons that inspire confidence and performance skills. The school has well‑motivated students, strong leadership support, and a clear commitment to professional development. Geography is valued within the curriculum, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular activities. You’ll be joining a dedicated and collaborative department, with access to good facilities, specialist resources, and free onsite parking.
Requirements:
- Hold QTS or a PGCE (UK‑recognised teaching qualification).
- Have recent experience teaching GCSE Geography (Years 10 and 11).
- Be available full‑time for a 2 term maternity cover.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be able to provide suitable references, a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and Right to Work in the UK.
