We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Children’s Mentor who is committed to making a lasting difference in young people’s lives. In this role, you will provide 1:1 and small group support within a specialist school setting in Rochdale, helping students rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning. You will play a vital part in improving attendance, wellbeing, and long‑term outcomes. Working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, you will see the real impact of your work every day. Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)

  • A calm, positive, and resilient approach to managing challenging behaviour
  • Strong empathy and the ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable pupils
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs, behavioural difficulties, or complex backgrounds
  • Previous experience in education, youth work, mentoring, alternative provision, PRU, or pastoral support
  • A strong belief in safeguarding and child protection
