Are you somebody that would flourish in a Teaching Assistant role supporting young learners in a primary school? As part of our exclusive agreement with the Ebor Academy Trust, Vision for Education are actively seeking passionate and committed Teaching Assistants to join our team of Teaching Assistants and work in Primary Schools in York.

With a wide range of ad hoc, short term and long term vacancies we’re currently working on for after May half term, this could be a perfect opportunity for anybody that is eager to work in a primary school and help create a welcoming and engaging classroom environment for young learners.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for working with young people, ideally with experience of working with children aged 4-11.
  • A nurturing personality that will help keep children engaged in the classroom.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt and lend a hand across different classes if needed.
  • At least three days availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing strong classroom support to pupils, helping them feel supported in all areas, aiding their development in reading, writing, and social engagement.
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive classroom environment for everyone.
  • Offer general support to teaching staff to help with lesson delivery.
  • Provide 1-1 and group support to learners where required.
