We have several vacancies for a PMLD Support Assistant in Hartlepool. The overarching purpose of the role is to provide support and guidance to the students with their variety of needs, helping with moving, handling and personal care. Working with students with Special Educational Needs is an extremely rewarding environment to work in, however getting to know the needs of the students can be challenging, therefore this role benefits from consistency and continuity. This role is suitable for individuals who have worked in care settings, youth support settings and children’s residential settings.

Requirements

  • Have experience of working with pupils with SEND.
  • Have an enthusiasm for supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Be committed to personal learning and development.
  • Have a clear and valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
  • Drive or be willing to use public transport.
