Vision for Education are recruiting Sports Coaches to transition into education as Cover Supervisors within secondary school settings. This role is ideal for confident, organised individuals with a background in sport, coaching, or youth work who are looking to gain classroom experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead classes during the short-term absence of the teacher, delivering pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects, including practical-based lessons where appropriate.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment by managing behaviour, engaging students, completing registers, and providing feedback to teaching staff. Opportunities are available for day-to-day supply, longer-term placements, and potential permanent roles.

Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)

  • Have recent experience in sports coaching, PE, youth work, or education
  • Be confident working with secondary-aged students
  • Hold GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths
  • Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Be reliable, adaptable, and keen to work in a school environment
  • A degree (or working towards one) is desirable but not essential
  • Be able to provide suitable references, hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS, and have the Right to Work in the UK
