How to prepare for a job interview at Vision for Education

Know Your Stuff

Make sure you brush up on the national curriculum for Maths and English. Be ready to discuss how you would tailor your lessons to meet individual student needs, especially for those with EHCPs. This shows that you’re not just knowledgeable but also adaptable.

Show Your Passion

During the interview, let your enthusiasm for teaching shine through. Share personal stories or experiences that highlight your commitment to helping students succeed. This will resonate well with the interviewers and demonstrate that you genuinely care about making a difference.

Prepare Questions

Have a few thoughtful questions ready to ask at the end of the interview. Inquire about the types of students you might work with or the support available for tutors. This shows that you’re engaged and interested in the role beyond just the pay.

Practice Makes Perfect

Consider doing a mock interview with a friend or family member. Practising common interview questions can help you articulate your thoughts clearly and confidently. Plus, it’ll ease those pre-interview nerves!
