About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in secondary schools by supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading classes of approximately 25–30 pupils
- Delivering pre‑planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
- Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive learning environments
- Taking accurate registers and following school policies
- Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of the lesson
You do not need to be a subject specialist. Full lesson materials are provided, allowing you to focus on engaging pupils, managing the classroom, and supporting learning.
